With the launch of the Heritage Centre for Active Citizenship on 15 August 2015, our community of parents, students and teachers renewed their commitment to the vision of the Heritage Child being a conscientious world citizen. The Centre was launched with the reading of the constitution; soon over 200 students started working together to identify issues that bother them about their city, Gurgaon. They will work on and then present these issues to everyone.
The Centre is a student-led initiative where students will identify issues, liaison with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), parents, civic authorities and media to solve the targeted real world issues, and build communities and societies that are engines of innovation and growth.
The Heritage Centre for Active Citizenship will soon be thrown open for all schools and students to come together, connect and be collaborative problem solvers to transform their city truly a millennium city.
If you are an interested student, school, parent, NGO, media person, please write to pallavi.srivastav@ggn.theheritageschool.in for more details.
