The Heritage School is affiliated with the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) up to the Senior Secondary level (Grade 12). The Heritage curriculum is based on the recommended curriculum set by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and it takes into account the recommendations made by NCERT in the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005. It is designed by our own teachers under the guidance of experts from all around the world, providing enough scope for children to explore, inquire and experience themselves and the world around them. You can visit the NCERT website at www.ncert.nic.in to familiarise yourself with their recommendations.
The Heritage School has started offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for grades 11 and 12 at the Gurgaon campus, alongside its existing CBSE programme, in 2015. The first batch is slated to earn their IB diplomas in 2017.
The IB is perhaps the leading organisation in education worldwide, dedicated to “developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed.” Many features of our pedagogical design starting from the earliest years, such as inquiry, integration of disciplines, creativity and authentic assessments, are actually inspired by the IB programme, which has been around since 1968—but the programme has grown in influence in India over the past decade.
